XT-002 Deconstructor Cheat Sheet

Key Abilities!!!

  • Lightbomb – adds AOE to person.  Affects people within 10 yards
  • Gravity Bomb – No damage, but when it goes off sucks in people within 12 yards and causes massive damage.
  • Tympanic Tantrum – 10% damage for 8 Seconds to entire raid.  So massive AOE healing needed.

Strategy:

  • Pull to the left or right it doesn’t matter.  Position him between the two piles.  This causes the two closest piles to not spawn bots and the other piles are WAY long away.  Thus won’t reach him during a heart phase.  *** THIS NO LONGER IS EFFECTIVE***  Tanking at the stairs is safest as any pile can spawn adds now.
  • Give the tank a few seconds to build a solid head of agro.  Then unleash a heroism.  The goal is to get him to 75% as FAST as you can.
  • Once the heart drops, all DPS stays on the heart.  DO NOT KILL THE HEART.  The OT DPS’s for the beginning section.  Then toward the end of the first heart phase breaks of and picks up any guardians.  Tank can go full bore DPS mode during the heart phase too.
  • Assign two DPS to pick off the bombs and pick off all scrap bots.  They heal him.
  • Rinse and repeat.  If you can DPS the heart down smartly you can skip a lot of the tantrums.

Hard Mode:

  • Kill the heart during the first heart phase.

Achievements:

  • Nerf Engineering – Don’t allow any scrap bots to get to him
  • Nerf Gravity Bombs – Nobody die to a Gravity Bomb
  • Nerf Scrapbots – Kill 20 Scrap bots in 12 seconds using bomb bots.
  • Must Deconstruct Faster – Kill him in under 205 Seconds (3 minutes 25 seconds)
    • Key is to use the heart phases.  If you can get him down quick enough between the heart phases that he only spends 5 seconds in normal mode.  Then you DPS the heart hard in the next phase.  You can’t kill the heart, but if you do it right you basically cause him to constantly go into heart phases.
