So many times when we raid, we are faced with incredible difficulty.  Whether it be having an off night and wiping on trash and bosses that we know should be easy or grinding away on a new boss, people get down.  They get stressed out.  They just plain have a hard time dragging themselves back to the keyboard that one more time.  So without further ado, here’s what I consider my top three tips for maintaining a high energy level in your raid. In honor of two of our raiders in our alliance, tomorrow will be a day of silence at Casual Raid Leader.  We were just informed today that late into their pregnancy they lost their baby.  We can only imagine what they must be suffering through at this moment.  For tomorrow I’m taking the day off to reflect and honor them.  Peace out people.  Enjoy the day off from the wall of post.

I’ve sat and listened to people over and over again freak out when I asked them if they ever considered raid leading.  Raid leading is a very intimidating position.  You are tasked with sitting in front of 9-24 people and helping them to move forward.  Raid leading can be one of the hardest jobs in the world, but the most common excuse I hear for why people wouldn’t want to lead raids is that they are afraid to fail.  They are deathly afraid of screwing up in front of all of those people. Hunters whether you love them or hate them, they are part of our life in WoW.  For the inexperienced or untrainable, we have the title “Huntard” which of course many experienced hunters HATE.  They give a bad rap to an overall strong group of people who have a very utilitarian class.  Traps, Buffs, Kiting and playing dead are all strengths of the hunter.  (Not to mention their nice DPS as well!!!!)

In my first segment on Druids, I examined the ins and out of what buffs, and advantages druids can bring to your raids. In this segment, I really want to explore the benefits of the various raid specs for hunters. Whether your a fan of Beast Mastery, Marksmanship or Survival, all three specs bring a unique set of talents and benefits to the table for a raid leader. (more…)

Sorry folks I’m just really tired.  Been up till Midnight a few nights in a row and shock of shock… work actually needs me to do real work… so my last few posts are delayed.  I’m hoping to catch up tonight as I have no raids scheduled.  So hopefully starting tomorrow we’ll be back to normal.

I’m still in the process of playing with graphics, skinning etc… but I got the bulk of everything converted. I have to say… I’m really impressed with the WordPress platform. Getting things over took a couple of steps, but it saved me about 2 days of work to import things.  I have disabled comments on the old site and put a notice up about the new site.  The feedburner feed has been adjusted to the new site, but I’m still playing with the widget….

I’m sorry I didn’t feel my post on Hunters specs and their raid utility was quite ready yet. Plus I’m looking at some hosting options. I’m enjoying blogging enough to want to get my own site. So I’m reviewing some options to see if I can get one that matches my needs. I’m probably going to be spending a lot of time ironing out that this weekend and then doing a site move next week so posts may be slow for the next week or so.

Also I’m going to be making the jump from Blogger to WordPress so expect a little bit of pain while I figure out the best way to transfer everything. I’m also planning on messing a ton with skins and templates so if you need me I’ll be fingers to the keyboard grinding on new graphics etc… Its a lot of pain, but better now than in 6 months when I’ve got 100 posts to deal with.
